Ayan Cymru is a leading arts and well-being organization in Wales, dedicated to making high-quality arts accessible to all. As custodians of excellence in the arts, we blend traditional and contemporary art forms—including music, dance, storytelling, and visual arts—to foster cultural understanding, enhance well-being, and strengthen communities.

Founded in 2010 by Creative Director Amruta Bawane Garud, Ayan Cymru has grown into a respected name offering creative education, artistic development, mentorship, and well-being programs. What sets us apart is our commitment to artistic excellence—our directors, board, and team bring deep expertise and extensive experience in the creative industry, ensuring that every project upholds the highest standards.

Our Impact

Ayan Cymru is transforming lives across Wales by using the arts to educate, heal, and connect communities. Through creative education, well-being initiatives, and cultural programs, we make the arts accessible to all.

Education – We bring music, storytelling, and interdisciplinary arts into schools and colleges, enriching learning and fostering creativity in line with Wales’ Creative Learning Through the Arts strategy.

Well-being – Our music therapy, wellness workshops, and sound healing sessions support mental, emotional, and physical health in hospitals, care homes, and rehabilitation centers.

Community Engagement – We create inclusive spaces for cultural exchange and artistic expression, reaching diverse communities, including older adults, prisoners, and underrepresented groups.

Arts & Culture – As a women-led, ethnically diverse organisation, we preserve and innovate Indian classical and world arts, mentoring the next generation of artists in Wales.

Sustainability & Innovation – We integrate music, digital media, and eco-friendly arts to inspire creativity, cross-disciplinary learning, and environmental responsibility.
